TINY PENTHOUSES 01, 2023-2024

The flat-roofed building at Trompenburgstraat (Amsterdam, NL) exposed ideal potential for a family of seven Tiny Penthouses. Their identical structures and floorplans optimize cost and efficiency, with an arched printed façade seamlessly blending into the roof. Towering 3.2-meter windows elongate the space, bathing each 45-square-meter studio in abundant daylight. Boasting double-height ceilings and mezzanine bedrooms, these ideal starter dwellings also have a gallery pathway that doubles as a south-facing terrace.

The Tiny Penthouses have a modular CLT wood structure and 3D printed facade, roof and interior finishing made from recycled waste plastics. Post-use, they can be disassembled, shredded, and reprinted to contribute to a fully circular loop, constantly reincarnating into newer and smarter homes.
